System engineering, fabrication and installation of a performance system for the Blue Man Group "Live at Luxor" show
Blue Man Group, the NYC performance art group with shows running in Boston, Chicago and NYC mounts it's largest show yet in the 1250 seat Luxor Theatre in Las Vegas.
SAVI provided a state of the art sound reinforcement system to handle the mammoth requirements of Blue Man Groups newest show. Over 200 inputs at the Front of house mix are needed. Mixing is handled by 5 consoles front of house and a Yamaha PM-1D backstage feeding 14 in-ear monitor mixes. The PA system is primarily EAW KF-700m series main and delay systems with a large scale 5.1 multi-channel playback system also incorporated into the room. An extensive EAW subwoofer system comprised of 8- SB-750's, 8-SB-1000's, 4 SB-212's and 4 BH-822 "super subs" rounds out the speaker compliment to make this show "Rock" A 200+ channel splitter system had to be designed and installed to accommodate the needs of the show for splits to FOH and Foldback.
