TheFoxTheatre
Atlanta, Georgia
Renovated: July 2002
Design and implementation of a center cluster line array speaker cluster system
and development of a long range plan for the theatres' sound system renovation.
The "Fabulous Fox" theatre in Atlanta is a c. 1929, 5000 seat theatre best known for
the premiere of "Gone With the Wind" in 1948. An extensive historical renovation program
has retained and restored this theatre to its original grandeur.
SAVI designed a specialized line array center cluster that can be removed and rolled
away for storage or to make room for road sound clusters. Permanent amplifier racks and
Laser aiming make deployment of this system a quick-one man job for the theatre sound
engineer. SAVI is currently planning the second phase of this theatre's renovation program
with the incorporation of side clusters, that can be stacked or flown at the edge of the
proscenium.
